SmartView Pocket is a compact video magnifier that helps you when the print is too small to read. It magnifies 1x at a time from 3x - 9x (7 levels) so you can set the most comfortable viewing size for your vision. Weighing only 4.9 ounces, it's the lightest of any portable video magnifier currently on the market. And, designed with smallest dimensions (see specifications below), it easily fits into your pocket.
Large buttons down the right side of the SmartView Pocket make it easy to set your magnification level and choose your reading image. Set your reading size between 3x - 9x by pressing the size up or size down button, and select either full color, B/W or Reverse (white letters on a black background) display from the Image button. A picture-based menu lets you change the brightness level depending on the room lighting.
SmartView Pocket has a reading stand that you can pull out into position so the screen tilts upward and forward for reading comfort, unlike most other portable video magnifiers which sit flat on the reading material. You may tilt SmartView Pocket upright onto the stand if you choose read with the screen facing upward. Or, flip the stand under and hod it as a "short" handle for reading.
Hold SmartView Pocket at a 1" - 2" depth of focus to view print or objects, like a pill bottle or canned grocery item. Even freeze the picture, then take a closer view, which may be handy in a grocery or department store. To write, simply flip the SmartView Pocket around to guide it as your perform short writing tasks like your signature on a form or addressing an envelope.
The built-in rechargeable battery will operate for up to 3 hours of continuous use. The red battery indicator shows when a recharge is needed, yet gives sufficient notice to finish your activities.
